If you’ve watched Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, you must have noticed The Rafi – Shammi classic “An Evening in Paris” in the movie. Ranbir was seen playing a Mohd. Rafi in the film. Shammi Kapoor and Mohammed Rafi’s jodi was famous for their epic songs. Together they have given some epic songs like Chaahe Koi Mujhe Jungli, Ye Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, Baar Baar Dekho, Badan Pe Sitaare and many more. Shammi Kapoor dearly loved and missed his on-screen voice Mohammed Rafi.
The song is the title track of Shammi Kapoor – Sharmila Tagore starrer “An Evening in Paris” which was composed by Shankar-Jaikishan and written by lyrics Hasrat Jaipuri.

Karan Johar shot the full song with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma but the song couldn’t make it to the final cut. Only a small part of the song, in Arijit Singh’s voice was in the movie. Saregama holds the music rights of the song so they’ve released the full version of the deleted song from ADHM.
